To serve families effectively, emergency response needs to be coordinated among various stakeholders, including emergency managers, healthcare coalitions, and community groups. How do you create those relationships, who is responsible for what, and how do you work together?
In this session, Love Anderson and Jodine Chase share details about how to approach other emergency response organizations as well as ways to communicate better and work together. We cover some disaster response concepts, specific questions pertaining to IYCF-E for each role in emergency response, and an example of a system, the Mother-Baby Unit, that can support families with young children during large-scale emergencies.
