Need help preparing?
If the suggestions above seem unattainable, reach out for help.
- If you are on WIC, reach out to your case manager.
- If you participate in any other support services such as foster care, ask them.
- You can also try calling a local church, food bank, crisis shelter, or diaper bank.
If you might need help during the storm, consider relocating before it hits.
If you think there is a good chance that you’ll need help when roads are impassable, consider going to stay with friends or family, or at a shelter now, and plan to stay until the threat passes.
There are always people who are willing to help – it may just take some effort to find them.
